UCPL is dedicated to serving adults in our community by offering collections, services, and programs that suit their cultural, educational, and social needs. Our adult programs typically take place on Friday afternoons at 4pm, unless otherwise scheduled. Check our Calendar for specific dates and programs! Join us for author talks, art workshops, book clubs, and more. Consider joining one of our reading challenges on Beanstack!
Adult Crochet Club and Class
Adult crochet classes on the third Friday of each month at 3pm and 4pm. We host both a club for those who want to come chat while they work on projects and a class, where an instructor explains a small project and helps you learn to make it! All skill levels are invited, and we also have a limited number of hooks and yarn, so you can come learn with us before investing in supplies of your own!
Adult Crafts and Other Special Programs
The UCPL hosts monthly adult crafts. Most of these crafts require prior registrations (call us at 423-743-6533 to sign up), and more information can be found on our monthly calendar. We also regularly host talks, informative classes and more! So be sure to keep up with what we have going on next.
Adult Storytime for Friends with Special Needs
We would love to invite our adult friends with special needs to join us for storytime every other Wednesday at 10:30am. This program includes stories, songs and crafts.
BYO Book Club
Bring your own book club is on the third Wednesday of each month. Read any book of your choosing that matches the monthly theme, and join us at 4:00pm to discuss what you liked or disliked or if you recommend that book to the group!
Cookbook Club
Join us on the first Saturday of each month at 11am to join our cookbook club. Each month, select a recipe from the chosen cookbook to bring to share with the group! (each month’s selection can be found on our calendar)
